to his friends in Delhi…..
To ‘lil Zoya who remains unfazed with the playful nibbles from magic & tells him : “Magic.… you are a tragic & where is your logic” ?
To soul mates : Yuma & Shreya…..( Yuma & Magic seems to have a connection which is beyond words). Once partner was asking me apart from Magic; name a canine which i absolutely adore?……. the answer was very simple: it had to be Yuma.
Strangely when we decided to move out of Delhi; Magic’s god father & life support system moves back to Delhi. So it’s a weird kind of good-bye to Deba & Kusum. Unfortunately i do not have any pics of Magic with them.
To all of our son’s friends who dropped in off & on & kept Magic company & to the some who walked (with) him.
But indeed it’s a very sad good-bye to the beautiful park opposite our house in which Magic had carved a niche for himself.
Now over to a new place/city… where there are no parks, where even just walking a caravan hound is not going to be easy with the bristling traffic & no pavements to speak about. May be we have got spoiled by our stay in Delhi. But still in the area where we live i do see stray dogs knocked down by the speeding call centre cabbies. Moreover our son will be off to hostel (which is going to leave a huge void), partner is on a full-time job. which involves lots of travel etc. But on the flip side he will be getting to meet & play with Koyal…… a female karvani, (she stays close by). But actually its the farm which is beckoning him …….again, that is also going to be a very slow & a long drawn out process. In the farm the infrastructure to integrate him is only starting to fall in place, so i give it about 12 months for Magic to find back his mojo. So its going to be tough…… in fact very tough; bringing up Magic for the next 12 months.
Homo sapiens like us are a big bore for these karwani’s…. they need their own clan to be happy & stay rooted, so we need to look out in earnest to find a nice female karwani pup to keep him company.
Lets hope for the best !
