Looks like the dog urine is the canine equivalent of BBM…..
Smell is a key element in a canines life, so while walking sniff, sniff is an important element of the walk & he would acquire a lot of data base of all his friends & foes….oh Loca was here, oh shit Grease was here too, Maan Pepper was here, shit Oliver was here also, Cherry….. my dahling, Bebo….. sweetheart, Simba saale, arre Max tum bhi yaar, Spencer dekh lenge baad mei
After sniffing he has to go pee, pee, pee & pee & again pee.
His physiological need is only in the morning, now that also he holds up & goes little by little at the tree trunk, the gates, and above all the lamp posts. All these form the focal points of community life for Magic…….the infinitely variegated smells of urine.
Magic has been a bit hyper for a while. In fact, we thought it is the frequent change of personnel. All of us had disappeared for a few days, then we had full house for two weeks with guests, then our son, who has been a constant in his life had gone for a week on a school trip, then again i disappeared, then partner disappeared & now he is alone with our son for a couple of days. But he has quite a stable temperament vis-a-vis all of us. He seems to know exactly who is going out-of-town, whose bag is getting packed & whose bag is kept near the door while waiting for a cab etc.
But the fact of the matter is Estrus, Oestrogen, Pheromones, Testosterone & god knows what…… & our stud has only one thing on his mind & its a one point program.
Whenever there is a something about Magic that bothers us, we always check with Deba. He says : this is very normal…don’t be paranoid or don’t overreact….just a firm no should do the trick…do remember i handle stallions after mares in heat, who have 1000 times your strength…so, this is nothing & very natural at the same time…do make sure you don’t dent his spirit following the code of the society.
& we do not derive any sadistic pleasure in preventing him from his bohemian lovemaking life…..
As of now the phase seems to have ended & he has become calmer. But it has been a learning curve for us.
bye for now !
